•William Edgar Burmeister was born in Muskegon, Michigan, August 14th,1952.• After receiving his training in physiology at Eastern Michigan University from 1970 to 1977, he worked for the following six years in the cardiovascular laboratory of B. Lucchesi, MD, PhD, at the University of Michigan Medical School’s Department of Pharmacology. Following that, he became a research associate in the Department of Pharmaceutical Research with American Critical Care Pharmaceutical in Megaw Park, Illinois.
• In 1981, he was recruited by the director of cardiovascular pharmacology at Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Research in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Acquiring increasing responsibility as a senior associate scientist, in 1985, he accepted the position of human resources generalist-preclinical research, initiating an internship program for the site, later accepting a promotion to scientist in the Department of Pathology and Experimental Toxicology.
• During his career, he has developed relationships with CEOs, presidents, vice presidents, senior directors and sections heads at a significant number of major worldwide pharmaceutical corporations and universities. Additionally, his resume includes authorship of 11 peer reviewed publication, and 18 abstracts.
• He has also been a featured speaker and has implemented internship programs in Brazil, China, Haiti, India, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Rwanda.

• Retiring from Pfizer in 2002, he became director of practicum education with the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy. During his four years there, he inaugurated an internship program, increasing not only its size to more than 140 students but also its annual income by more than $3 million.
• William and Jennifer have ten children, ranging in age from 34 to 13, five son’s and five daughters.
• Miriam our youngest daughter was adopted from Vietnam in 2002. After getting back from Vietnam I told Miriam that some day we would go back to Vietnam in order bring clean water to her country. That is still my goal.

• In 2011, he was invited to Haiti after the earthquake to provide his insights and knowledge, and the Haitian government’s Ministry of Health subsequently granted approval to distribute and market the product in that country.

• He then Partnered with Roland Zenny forming Jacmel Multi Services, becoming the Exclusive Distributor of SAFI in Haiti.
